  • [JUST JULIANNE #14] - I wonder if it will snow this winter! I remember absolutely LOVING playing in the snow and sledding! I was definitely a very energetic kid~

  • [JULIANNE'S JEMS #9] - When I am old and look back at my life, I want to remember countless memories of me being courageous in the pursuit of my goals and dreams. As human beings, we have infinite potential, and every experience teaches us something, and helps us get better. So whenever I am facing a new challenge and want to stay small, I remind myself that my future self will thank me for my courage later~

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #16] - London is one of my favorite cities in the world! So much so that I went there twice in the last 2 years! There is a type of electric and vibrant energy that is so attractive. One of my favorite things in the world is to go for afternoon tea! In London, there is a very fancy afternoon tea place called 'Sketch'. It was quite expensive, but they had unlimited refills! The middle photo on the bottom is their bathroom- definitely the coolest bathroom I've ever seen!

  • [JUST JULIANNE #13] - One of my favorite hobbies is listening to podcasts, whether I'm taking a walk, doing chores or just passing time! Since my second year of university I wanted to start my own podcast, as a way to express my thoughts and share ideas with the world! This fall, I finally started a podcast with my great friend from university. We both like to approach life in a optimistic, curious and soulful way- therefore we wanted to share the various conversations we have, with the world! At the moment we have 2 episodes out. You can listen to them here!: https://anchor.fm/candidchatsforthesoul

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #15] - Italy is the land of beautiful buildings and amazing food! I loved my time in both Milan & Venice- I ate lots of authentic Italian food such as gelato, pizza, pasta, tiramisu and more! I especially loved all the colorful buildings in Venice!

  • [JUST JULIANNE #12] - Here is a throwback video when I was 7 years old! My younger sister and I were sending a video message to my grandparents in Taiwan. Looking at old photos and videos always bring me so much nostalgia and gratitude for my family that brings me warmth and happiness~

  • [JULIANNE'S JEMS #8] - I always wonder: I wonder how different this world would be if we all chose to follow our wildest dreams and work courageously to make them come true? This year, I decided to be committed to living a life where I am excited about everything I do. Of course, it doesn't mean that it is all easy. There are challenges and ups and downs, but by keeping my long term vision for my life in mind, I can take action from a place of gratitude~ I hope that you will choose to choose your dreams over the drama in your head. You are worth your greatest dreams!

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #14] - I am someone who believes that if you have a goal in your mind, you can turn it into a reality~ Since my first first year of university, I knew that I wanted to have an internship abroad. In fact, in me second year an upper year friend told me about this internship opportunity at adidas in Hong Kong! I loved everything she told me, and made it a goal to get the internship one day! So for the next two years, I did lots of networking, and finally after rounds of interviews I was offered the project management internship last year in December! To say the least, it was a very unique and memorable experience- when I arrived in Hong Kong this year in February, that was right when the pandemic was starting in Asia. I was there alone and barely knew anyone, so I was quite scared. I even considered going back to Canada to be with my family. But after much consideration, and thanks to the new friends and co-workers I had, I decided to stay! I learned so much about myself, my capabilities and my future goals. I really fell in love with the city, but due to the pandemic didn't get to do everything I wanted to! So I look forward to going back, hopefully in the near future ;)

  • [JUST JULIANNE #11] - After my first pageant in 2015, there were a few opportunities I had to try modelling! I used to be quite shy and conscious about my body, so this was a great way to boost my confidence and try something new! The photo on the left is from a photoshoot I did with my good friend from high school! And on the right is my first runway show at the Khatsalano Street Fair. It was a blast!

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #13] - I went on a 3 day trip to Finland, and also went to Estonia for a day! When I went to these countries, it was already the end of November so it was quite chilly! But the skies were so beautiful and clear. From Finland to Estonia, it only takes a 30 minute ferry ride! Estonia is a very small country, so it only took half a day to see all the sightseeing locations! Estonia really reminded me of a fairytale with its rustic buildings and vibe.

  • [JUST JULIANNE #10] - If you had the chance to see my talent video, then you know that I love tap dancing! I have been tap dancing since I was 5/6 years old, and took classes until the end of high school. Tap dance for me is an opportunity to create music with my feet, and be creative and expressive. Below is one of my last tap dance performances! I really love the very jazzy concept of the dance

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #12] - Since my family on my father's side lives in Taiwan, I would go back every few years! I came to love the small winding streets, the lively night markets and of course- the bubble tea! In the summer of 2019, I went to Taiwan for 6 weeks, and it was full of memories. I went to a summer camp to study Mandarin and made friends from all around the world. In addition, this was an especially special trip, because my grandmother from South Korea also came for one week, and met my Taiwanese grandma for the FIRST time since my parents' wedding!! (22 years!!) It was truly an emotional time, and so beautiful to experience as well~

  • [JULIANNE'S JEMS #7] - I think we all know to some degree that perfection is impossible! But I want to take this to another level- not being perfect doesn't mean that there is something wrong with us in any way. In fact, there is never ever anything wrong with us inherently. Even when we make mistakes, or don't feel deserving of love, we are. I think as a society, we need to break free from the idea that we need to do something to deserve love. No- you are incredible as you are, and worthy of all your dreams!

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #11] - I had so many photos from my time in Kenya, that I couldn't fit them all into 1 post! Below are a few fun photos from my time there. I went with 19 other students from my school, and we often went to do exciting activities on the weekends. On a safari, we were really lucky to see a rhinoceros really up-close! We also went to a giraffe sanctuary, where I got my very first kiss from a giraffe!! In the bottom left photo, I am with my friends Alvin, Amol, Dennis and Collins- they always say that I am always smiling!!

  • [JULIANNE'S JOURNEY #10] - In June of 2019, I spent a month in Nairobi, Kenya with my school to teach local entrepreneur important business skills and mindsets. This was an extremely rewarding experience that open my eyes to a different part of the world. I was truly inspired by my students- they came from poverty, but never lost faith in what was possible for their lives. Some would even go to work before coming to class- they are truly hustlers. Below are a few photos of my students- they are so dear to my heart and I try to keep in touch as much as possible!
